27 in East Coast Cohort Gain National Certification in AASA Superintendent Training Program

AASA recognized the 27 newest graduates of its National Superintendent Certification Program, which launched five years ago.

The new graduates are members of AASA’s East Coast II cohort. Many of them appeared on stage at the 1st General Session of the AASA national conference in Nashville on Thursday afternoon.

The cohort members are Jessica Aquilina, Tony Aylsworth, Paul Brennan, David Buck, Jay Burkhart, Shari Camhi, Barry DePaoli, Beth Giese, Arina Goldring, Nicholas Guarente, Mark Hansen, Laurie Heinz, Melissa Kaczkowski, Trisha Kocanda, Ann Kox, Bryan Luizzi, Susan Patterson, Ray Queener, Belinda Selfors, Marci Shepard, Thomas Sisk, Peter Stiepleman, Jeanice Swift, Danny Tipton, Nancy Wagner, David White and Alena Zachery-Ross.

Recognizing that working as a superintendent is one of the most difficult and complex jobs in America, AASA began its national certification program, which runs 18 months, in 2013.
