Fun Run and Fitness Options at AASA’s National Conference

For most of the year, Noelle Ellerson Ng oversees AASA’s advocacy and governance work. But during the week of AASA’s national conference, she assumes added duty to ensure fitness opportunities for early risers.

Two fitness activities are slated during conference week in San Diego. Those interested are to complete an NCE 2020 Fun Run form so Ellerson Ng can communicate up-to-the-moment details with those interested. Both workouts will last approximately 30 minutes.

“They’re a great way to start the day and get some fresh air before a day of professional learning,” she says.

The activities are:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 12: An informal workout with Noelle and members of the San Diego chapter of her Washington, D.C.-based running club (known as the November Project) commences at 6:30 a.m. It’ll take place at Bea Evanson Fountain in Balboa Park, located 2.5 miles from the official conference hotel, the Marriott Marquis.
  • Friday, Feb. 14: Noelle has organized a customized pop-up workout with a local running club to begin at 6:30 a.m. outside the main entrance to the convention center.
