Nevada Superintendent Picked for Next Lifetouch Mission in Guatemala

Conference attendee David Jensen presumably had no idea he’d have the opportunity to journey south of the border on a volunteer mission next January. That was until his name was drawn at the AASA conference’s 3rd General Session on Saturday as the winner of a trip to Guatemala as part of the 2020 Lifetouch Memory Mission.

Jensen is superintendent over the past eight years in the Humboldt County School District in Winnemucca, Nev. He’s a past president of Nevada Association of School Administrators.

He will receive a fully expense-paid trip as part of a delegation of volunteers, most of them members and staff at national education associations, during Lifetouch’s annual support mission. Recent missions have involved building a school in the Dominican Republic.
