AASA’s conference bookstore will feature 250 of the latest titles in educational leadership and student learning.
Located on the Level 3 Concourse near AASA registration, the bookstore will be organized into 13 categories, including district management, technology/social media, student achievement and the recommended reading of AASA Executive Director Dan Domenech. Books written by AASA members over the past several years are among the stocked titles.
AASA merchandise, including the new I Love Public Education t-shirt, as well as ties, scarves, polo shirts, baseball caps and reading pins, will be available. AASA will cover the full cost of shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. for any bookstore purchase of $200 or more.
The store will host eight book signings by authors, including 1st General Session keynote speaker Doris Kearns Goodwin. On Thursday, Feb. 15, Richard Rothstein will sign books at 10:15 a.m.; Anthony Kim at 11:30 a.m.; Casey Tieken at 2 p.m.; and Goodwin at 6:15 p.m.
On Friday, Feb. 16, 2nd General Session keynoter Todd Rose will sign from noon to 12:30 p.m.; Paul Houston at 1:30 p.m.; and Michael Lubelfeld at 2 p.m.
The 3rd General Session speaker, Sal Kahn, will sign his latest book on Saturday, Feb. 17 at noon, following his presentation.
The bookstore will be open Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 2 to 5 p.m.; Thursday, Feb. 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 17 from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
