Here are 3 reasons I've made the Social Media Lounge part of my #nce17 experience:
- Opportunities to connect with experts and learn more about how schools and districts are using all kinds of social media tools – Twitter, Voxer, Facebook Live, Snapchat, etc. Where else could it be so easy to become social media savvy?
- Daily panels that take place in the Knowledge Exchange Theater. In today's panel, I learned about the possibilities of Snapchat from Travis Jordan (@Supt_Jordan) and live streaming from William Blake (@TheKoolestDoc). Don't miss Friday's panel (1:30 PM in the Knowledge Exchange Theater), Telling Your District's Story with Susan Enfield (@SuptEnfield), Lynn Fuini-Hetten (@lfuinihetten), Jill Gildea (@drjillgildea) and Carol Kelley (@kelley873)!
- Mini-sessions. I had the opportunity to collaborate today with Lynn Fuini-Hetten on a mini-session titled Using Social Media to Track Goal Progress. Tomorrow's topics from various presenters include digital agendas and Voxer. A special topic will feature anti-bullying activist Lizzie Sider (@Lizzie Sider), sharing her bullying prevention campaign and the role social media has played in making her voice heard.
