Elizabeth Lolli, superintendent of Dayton Public Schools in Dayton, Ohio, was named Saturday morning the 2022 recipient of the Save The Music Foundation’s 17th annual Administrator Award for Distinguished Support of Music Education.
Because she was unable to attend the conference, the award was accepted on stage by Valarie Milligan, academic coordinator for music in the fine and performing arts department in the Dayton Public Schools.
The award announcement was made at the 3rd General Session of the 2022 National Conference on Education, hosted by AASA, The School Superintendents Association, in Nashville, Tenn.
This award recognizes one superintendent or school district CEO who has exhibited outstanding commitment to restoring music education in his or her school district. Lolli was chosen for her deep commitment to providing students across the city of Dayton with a well-rounded education that includes music.
