AASA’s conference bookstore will feature 250 of the latest titles in educational leadership and student learning.
Located in the West Hall Lobby across from AASA registration, the bookstore will be organized into 13 categories, including district management, technology/social media, student achievement and the recommended reading of AASA Executive Director Dan Domenech. Books written by AASA members over the past several years are among the stocked titles.
AASA merchandise includes bow ties in the style of AASA President Chris Gaines, as well as last year’s I Love Public Education t-shirt, scarves, polo shirts, baseball caps and reading pins. AASA will cover the full cost of shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. for any bookstore purchases of $200 or more.
The store will host seven book signings by eight authors. On Thursday, Feb. 14, David Berliner will sign books at 11:30 a.m.; Bruce Baker at 1:45 p.m.; Luvelle Brown at 2:15 p.m. following his Thought Leader Session; and Denver Fowler at 4:15 p.m.
On Friday, Feb. 15, 2nd General Session keynoter Bill Daggett will sign from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and Trish Rubin, Bernadine Futrell and Brian Creasman from 3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Rubin will sign copies of two books at that time.
The bookstore will be open Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 2 to 5 p.m.; Thursday, Feb. 14 from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 16 from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
