I followed up on yesterday's boat trip by attending the session hosted by the Superintendents Environmental Education Collaborative today and learned about how two other school systems bring environmental sustainability into their school district.
Virginia Beach Public Schools, Calvert County Public Schools, Alameda Unified School District and Fairfax County Public Schools all shared the many ways they have intentionally focused student learning on environmental sustainability and the call to action their students have embraced.
Did you know Title IV funds can support the work of environmental literacy and environmental awareness? SEEC can help you navigate this funding along with many other resources and ideas. Check out their website at https://www.sups4ee.org/ to learn from each other.
This, to me, is why I attend NCE – to learn from my colleagues and connect over shared interests in ways that will improve the learning in my own district.
