When I was asked to serve on the Governing Board, I gladly accepted; but, quite honestly, I really had no idea what it would entail. I quickly learned it is a unique opportunity to interact with colleagues from across the nation to provide leadership to AASA through policy, legislative platforms and programming.

The Governing Board met today as a full group and with our regions. I value the regional meeting because it gives us the time to explore issues in depth and to understand the commonalities we share across the states in our region.

The Governing Board is definitely a value-add to my conference experience! And my colleagues in Region 6 are the best!
