Participating in the AASA Governing Council meeting is always a great way to begin the National Conference on Education. We hear updates from Dan on everything that has happened this year–and it was wonderful to hear that virtual attendance was strong for the many programs offered. Noelle and team always provide a great overview of legislative principles for the council to approve. My favorite part of the Governing Council meeting is when I get to join my colleagues from Region 6 for discussion! These dedicated professionals remind me that regardless of where we are located, the joys and challenges of the superintendent's job are the same!

And a special feature of this year's Governing Council meeting was the weather updates from across the country in the chat box! For those of us on the East Coast, it was a scary preview of what lies ahead!
