As day one finishes up and we look forward to day 2, I am looking forward to some Canadian content from our keynote speaker in the morning, George Couros. For others here on the west coast, George is worth getting up for his 7 AM Pacific presentation. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but at least in my time being connected to AASA George is the first Canadian keynote presenter I can remember.
George is a great storyteller and wonderfully weaves together the various trends we are seeing in education into a coherent story. His book The Innovator's Mindset is an excellent read and one that our district, like many across North America has used for a teacher and administrator book club.
So, put on the coffee and get to experience a little bit of Canada tomorrow morning!
