The superintendent of Dallas Independent School District in Dallas, Texas, Michael Hinojosa, and the superintendent of Weber School District in Ogden, Utah, Jeff Stephens, were honored Friday morning with the 3rd annual EmpowerED Digital Superintendent of the Year Award.

This award, sponsored by ClassLink, recognizes an exceptional superintendent who serves as an empowered leader, leveraging and championing technologies in the classroom and throughout the district.

The recognition took place at the 2nd General Session of the AASA national conference in Nashville.

AASA and CoSN, the Consortium for School Networking, launched a partnership in 2019 committed to building a community of engaged superintendents and other school system leaders who have the skills and knowledge to bolster dynamic digital learning environments on behalf of K-12 students.
