AASA presented its Empowered Digital Award to Aaron Spence, superintendent in Virginia Beach, Va., during the 3rd General Session of the AASA national conference on Friday, Feb. 19.
The award, sponsored by Classlink, recognizes an exceptional district superintendent who serves as an empowered education leader, leveraging and championing technologies in the classroom and throughout the district.
CoSN and AASA manage the EmpowerED Digital Superintendent of the Year Award, which is in its second year.
