Social Media Lounge Serves as Central Networking Hub in Exhibit Hall

Visit the social media lounge in the Exhibit Hall on the 3rd floor.

Now in its eighth year, the Social Media Lounge offer activities and learning sessions for conference-goers who are interested in expanding their social media literacy and social networking for professional growth.

Located in the middle of the exhibit hall, AASA’s Social Media Lounge offers a fun, relaxing spot to experience hands-on training, share tips and tricks, snap selfies and create relationships that will last beyond the conference.

Sponsored by Vecna and Paradigm Shift Education, the lounge’s activities are led by social media-savvy superintendents whose efforts have paved the way for others to follow, not just within their school districts but also for other education leaders to share ideas, network and learn from one another.

Superintendent Edward Manuszak of Dundee, Mich., stops by the social media lounge.

Attendees can look forward to breakout sessions covering ways to encourage superintendents and advocate for districts through social media, as well as a session about “What Not to Do on Social Media.” Participants also will have a first-hand look at a “telepresence robot,” Vecna's VGo Robot that provides real-time audio/video communications and enables homebound students to replicate their presence in school.

All conference attendees are encouraged to include #NCE2022 in their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram posts and to join the official National Conference on Education Facebook Group to share photos and videos, participate in topical discussions and discover what colleagues are doing at the conference.
